Stony Lane Riders Enjoy a Successful Kick-Off to Fall Finals Season!
Congratulations to Eleanor Beffert, Madeline Beffert, Iris Helfgott and Sarah Gleason on a successful two weeks at FW-PHA Finals hosted by Old Salem Farm, and The League Finals, presented by Marshall & Sterling, held at HITS Hudson Valley.
FW-PHA Finals
Maddie Beffert thoroughly enjoyed her first finals experience, taking home sixth place in the walk-trot equitation & walk-trot equitation challenge, aboard Wildwynn Legacy.
Sister Ellie Beffert and her pony, Saratoga Frost, were first and third in the low children’s pony division. Ellie also jumped to fourth place out of 15 entries in the FW-PHA Pre Child/Adult Challenge aboard Crowd Goes Wild.
Iris Helfgott and Keepsake won the Low Children’s Pony Challenge, and placed third in the regular Low Children’s Pony class at FW-PHA Finals.
Sarah Gleason and Indianapolis were first in the FWPHA Modified Equitation Challenge and second in the Low Adult Amateur Hunter Classic.
The League Finals
Lisa Tomaselli piloted Indianapolis to reserve champion in the Working Hunter 2’6” Pro with scores of 88 and 85 for first and third over fences.
Later in the week, Sarah Gleason and Indy were sixth in the Hudson Adult Equitation Classic, ninth in the Sidelines Adult 2’6” Equitation Final, and had a beautiful trip in the $2,500 2’6” Bit O Straw Derby including a second-round score of 82.5.

Iris Helfgott and Keepsake excelled at their first The League Finals. They were fifth in the Pre-Child 2’ Hunter over fences out of 36 riders, and eighth in the Pre-Child 2’ Hunter Classic out of 31 riders.
Ellie Beffert and her new pony partner, Crowd Goes Wild, jumped to sixth place in the Large Children’s Pony Hunters over fences, and finished eighth under saddle. They were also eleventh in the Children’s Hunter Pony Classic out of 47, and finished twelveth in the Child Pony Medal - Large.
